Ps3 Console – Simply Awesome!

Just got the new PS3 Console slim today and it far exceeded my already high expectations. The video and sound quality for both games and blu-ray is truly “mind bottling.” Highlights include:

-built in wifi
-free access to Playstation Network
-beautiful video and sound quality
-superb controller
-DVD upconvert really improves the look of your movies
-excellent exclusive and multiplat. games
-a truly amazing bargain

The only drawback is the lack of HDMI or component cables, but of course you can get these for pennies through Amazon. Some complain of the lack of Netflix streaming, but in my opinion once you’ve tried blu-ray it’s hard to go back to those grainy streaming formats! Also, I think the new design is quite nice: minimalist with an appealing texture contrast.

Basically, for $ 300 you will instantly transform your tv into a high end multimedia home theater. Go buy one now!

*-one more note: I was initially worried that my 720p tv wouldn’t demonstrate the full capabilities of the PS3 Console. Needless to say, my worries wore gone the moment I fired up the unit!

PS3 Console 80GB Difference

Changes I have noted between the Slim and a PS3 Console 80GB (purchased in 2009):

* Case:
– Slim does not have side vents so less worry about blocking sides (80GB has vents on right side)
– prefer the slims tactile/pressable power on/off and disc eject buttons which also have backlighting and look nicer then the 80GB
– smaller then I anticipated which is very nice
– prefer the textured top of the case to the shiny on the 80GB
– sound is quieter then the 80GB, 80GB sounds like a desktop computer, Slim sounds more like a portable computer
– Slim does not have the “new computer” smell that the 80GB did, the 80GB just wreaked and had to have the window in the room it was in open for a week or so
– 2 pronged power cord on Slim instead of 3 on 80GB

* Energy Usage (all numbers in watts)
– Plugged in but not turned on: Slim 1 – 80GB 0 when switch on back is off, 1 otherwise
– PSOne main screen: Slim 84 – 80GB 114
– Blu-Ray: Slim 88 – 80GB 120

How To Catch A Cheating Spouse Easily

You really want to catch your cheating spouse so you can learn the truth today. You are sick and tired of your spouse going behind your back and betraying you like this. You feel as though your suspicions are correct and you are going to learn the truth right now. You are going to learn how to catch a cheating spouse easy.

Although this may sound like a very daunting task, it doesn’t have to be. You can catch a cheating spouse with ease and you can make this happen today. You don’t have to hire a private investigator in order to get the information that you are looking for. You can make this happen in a much simpler way and it is time that you did this today.

The easiest way to catch a cheating spouse is to study their body language. When you and your spouse are together and you ask them a question about where they have been, if they go into great detail about where they were and what they were doing, then you can count on the fact that they are telling a lie. When a person lies, they typically over exaggerate everything in order to overcompensate for their lie. If they are going into more detail than what was required, then this is something that you definitely should look for.

As well, if your partner comes home late and starts showering you with love and telling you all of these cute things that are totally out of the blue, then they are probably cheating. The reason for this is because they are feeling guilty for what they just did, so they are trying to reason with themselves and they feel as though when they give you lots of love and affection, that they erase what just happened.

The last tip to catch a cheating spouse with ease is if they start making up terrible excuses to avoid intimacy or time with you. If your spouse is always tired or always has a headache when you want to make love, then it is not because they are sick but because they are getting their action from someone else. As well, if your spouse is spending more time with “friends” after they haven’t seen these so-called friends for years, then it is because these “friends” are actually someone new in their life.

Use these foolproof ways to detect an affair and to reveal the truth today. You deserve much better than this so it is time that you discovered what was really going on in your marriage.

Suspecting that your spouse is cheating can leave you feeling confused and alone. You may not think adultery can impact your marriage, but it can. Many men and women have no idea that their partners are being unfaithful. You can learn within the next few minutes how to catch your spouse cheating on you.

You need to know what’s going on in your marriage. If your spouse is being unfaithful now is the time to learn the truth.

Strategies To Improve Your Cornhole Game

If you want to play Cornhole well, you have to have good strategies. The sooner you learn these strategies, the better player you are. You will not only win more games but also be ready to play competitively.

The way you toss the corn bag is a very important aspect of the Cornhole game. You want to make sure that you master the toss before you start playing competitively. One of the most effective ways to toss the corn bag is to cup it in your hand and throw it underhand. If you try to throw it from the side, which is a technique that most people use, it can cause you to not have total control over the bag itself. You want to make sure that you stay in control during your throw and this can help you to have more accuracy.

Many people aim directly for the hole during game play as this is worth 3 points. A better strategy may be to make sure that the bag lands directly on the board and this is worth only 1 point, but if you make all of the bags on the board, you can easily rack up points and you will not waste several throws by only trying to make it into the hole on the board. When you are standing away from the board, the hole can seem very far away and the board may be a much easier target to pursue.

The angle of your throw will affect how the bag lands and slides when it hits the Cornhole board. You want to make sure that you master the slide that will occur depending on the angle of your throw. This is something that you can master during your practice times and you eventually be able to predict how your bag will slide and land and you can alter your throw to accommodate this fact.

You will find many other strategies to help you improve your Cornhole game as you go along and you may find things that work for you personally that may not help anyone else on your team. No matter how you play Cornhole, having fun is the biggest goal and this is very easy to accomplish.

Dave Roth runs the site, a resource site devoted to the game of corntoss. The site features rules, building dimensions, and cornhole bags and boards.

Is There Hope For Your Marriage After Cheating?

You’ve been caught cheating and now the most pressing thing on your mind is how to go about saving your marriage. It might seem like a shot in the dark at the moment but sometimes that one shot is all you need to hit the bulls-eye head on. Yes, there is hope for your marriage after cheating. The downside to that is that you’re really going to have to put a lot of effort into making things right.

What can you do to make your chances for success even better?

1) Give your spouse a little time to come to terms with everything. You do not need an answer right this very minute. While you don’t want to go on in limbo indefinitely it’s a good idea to be prepared to give the love of your life a little bit of time to wrap his or her brain around what you have done and what it might mean to the health and longevity of your marriage.

2) Avoid all appearances of evil. For a while you’re going to have to walk a very fine line. Any behaviors or activities that made cheating possible in the past are now going to be very suspect. Expect to spend a lot more time with your spouse than in the past and to be held accountable for where you are (and with whom) when you are not with your spouse. It’s understandable that trust has been breached and the leash might be a little tighter for some time.

3) Apologize to your spouse. It might not seem like a big deal to you but to the person you’ve wronged it means everything. It might not even be accepted but you need to put it out there in order to prove your sincerity. In your apology it is important that you accept responsibility, assign no blame, and ask for forgiveness. If you don’t do these things the apology will not seem to be sincere and is not likely to be well accepted.

4) Explain what will be different this time around. When you’re trying to convince the one you cheated on to give you another chance you need to have a mental list of all the things you’ll do differently this time around prepared. This proves your sincerity and that you’ve put a lot of thought into what needs to change to make things better. It also lets your spouse know that you’re taking this seriously and thinking about the future rather than just hoping they’ll do all the heavy lifting for making the relationship work a second time.

Don’t think it’s possible to get your ex back? Shh! This one super secret step will make all the difference in the world! Are you ready to find out what it is:

Ps3 Console – Yeah Baby Yeah!

Okay so I have had a computer for 20 years (I am 26) and used to program my own games using GBASIC. I have played Nintendo since I was 8 so I would say I am a gamer, better at some games more than others. Over the years I have become less likely to spend two or three days on defeating a game and will maybe spend an hour or two. I haven’t had a PS for awhile but have continued to play. Even though I think we have come SOOO far with games there is so much further that we can go. With that said I LOVE MY PLAYSTATION!! I am currently playing Gran Tourismo Prologue (which I haven’t played since PS2) and I am still very excellent at the game.

The prologue is condensed so I am not sure whether or not you can sup up your cars. The racing experience changes with each fix you make but since it’s not available I had to buy a Ferrari (oh darn) to SEE what the different was between my Subaru WRX, Nissan, and Ferrari. You can definitely SEE the difference but you can also FEEL the difference. I literally FELT lighter in the Nissan and Ferrari then the Sub. Both the Sub and Nissan are 4WD so there is less resistance but the Nissan is lighter. But back to what I was saying, I FELT it. Not because of the vibrating control or ease of movement, maybe a combination of that and the amazing detail or perhaps a Jedi mind trick.

Whatever it was I nearly peed in excitement but remembered I was in a Ferrari :-). Other consoles have more games but PS3 Console will catch up. Also some other consoles are built to not last by overheating, that is there corporate brand business model and how their founder became so wealthy. If you don’t buy this you are setting yourself up for failure. Oh besides almost peeing because I got to experience a Ferrari, this console is a blue-ray player with wireless controls. Wasn’t expecting that when I bought it, it was a nice present for buying the console.

You can also use your PSP to connect remotely to your PS3 Console. How sic is that? My only regret is not getting the 250 GB. The only flaw is wired internet connections are too complicated to set up, stick with wireless if you can. ROCK ON PS3, MAY YOU RULE THE GAMING INDUSTRY!!

Addictions Help Articles – Video Game Addiction

The video game addiction is a psychological disorder characterized as an irresistible and obsessive desire to play video games. The addiction to video games result in the players behavior as being repetitive and compulsive, as in pathological gamblers or consumers of psychoactive substances.

Psychoanalysts call into question the notion of addiction applied to objects that are not drugs, such as video games, work or jogging, arguing that in this case, one could argue that all passion is pathological. Like drugs, one can speak of a real addiction and mental disorders found with similar loss of interest and loss of emotional, relational and intellectual. One can even see the physical effect as weight loss among players can be visible for those who spend all their time in front of the screen and forget to eat.

There is talk of addiction when the game becomes a persons main center of interest, and takes precedence at the expense of other activities (relational, professional, school, sport, leisure …) The concept of withdrawal into oneself is also almost always found. This addiction is of particular concern during adolescence, an important period when games and education do not mix.

The games most likely to result in such dependence are the role-play massively multiplayer online (MMORPG) in which the player evolves in a virtual universe, such as Dark Age of Camelot, World of Warcraft, Everquest or Evercrack known by some, Warhammer Online, Guild Wars, Lineage 2, Travian, MMORPG, Metin2, Lord Of The Rings Online, Age of Conan Aion or Flyff.

All these games are popular network games. So they are played with other real players. The addictive nature stems from the knowledge that this gaming universe continues to evolve even when the player is not playing – which encourages a player to play a lot.

Not everyone is capable of becoming addicted to video games but some are more fragile than others. The adolescent who has difficulty in accessing the autonomy within the family does. By playing a lot, the adolescent will be exposed to some sort of distorted relationship with the real world. This can lead to anti-social behavior and possiblly more social problems in the future.

How To Find An Excellent Article Ghost Writer To Write Your Web Content

The internet is full of folks advertising their article ghost writer services, but how do you tell the best from the rest?  You need somebody who’s going to write content for you that is compelling and good to read.  Most of all, you need it to drive traffic to your site – traffic that will buy.  Here are some things to look for when considering an article ghost writer.

Samples And What To Look For

In the world of internet writing, we don’t really care about degrees, certificates or rewards.  Experience helps, but as they say, “the proof is in the pudding.”  In other words, you just need to read something they’ve written, and you can clearly see by that how they write.  What you need to do is look at samples.

When you read their samples, put yourself in the place of a potential customer.  If the writing is too dense and difficult, it’s not right for web copy.  If it’s full of mistakes or hard to read, you should look elsewhere.  Basically you should look for two things in their samples – the quality of the writing, and how well it grabs your attention and keeps it.

A good article ghost writer should have no grammar or spelling mistakes.  They should write in a conversational tone, and speak directly to the reader.  Everything should be in layman’s terms.  The articles should flow from beginning to end and help the reader solve some problem.  Finally, a little originality helps.  If it’s original, it will stand out from all the rest of the articles out there and really grab the reader’s attention.

Testimonials And References

The greatest way to find an article ghost writer is through the recommendation of a friend who has used their services before.  If you don’t have that, testimonials are the next best thing.  See what other marketers and webmasters are saying about them, and this will give you an idea of the quality of their work.

Do A Trial Run And See How It Goes

Finally, when you’ve got one you think might be good, give them a trial run.  Set up a small job for them and use this to decide if you’ll use them again.  If they deliver the goods that you need in a timely and reliable way, you’ve got yourself a winner.  If you’re less than happy with the job, tell them “thanks” and move on.  Doing a small job as a trial run is much better than launching into a big project and being stuck with the wrong writer.

Once you get your hands on a good article ghost writer, you’re never going to want to let them go.  Establishing a good working relationship with a content writer who consistently knocks out great work is the key to success online.  So get started searching for the one that’s going to help you take your online business to the next level.

I write your content so you don’t have to >>  I’ve got hundreds of satisfied customers under my belt.  This article is copyright 2010 by Greg Scott. Anyone may use this article as long as all links in the article and resource box stay active and the article is not altered in any way.

Who Will Win the White House? The Candidate Who Wins the Communication Wars

Who Will Win the White House? The Candidate Who Wins the Communication Wars

Congratulations to all of us! We have almost made it through the longest Presidential Primary season in history! Finally, after months of politics and pundits we have arrived at not only a New Year, we have arrived at the dawn
of a New President.

Prior to the Bush-Gore race, the taller candidate had lost only twice in history.
The consequences of a media campaign have changed the dynamics of perceived advantage. Being the taller candidate is no longer the statistical advantage that it once was for the taller candidate since in pictures or on TV height difference is less apparent and often times not apparent at all.

Because I look at the world through a communication lens, I ask you to come with me as I look at the primary race through the lens of communication.

I believe that I can successfully make the argument that both Gore and Kerry lost NOT because of their political expertise, but rather because of their poor communication skills. In 2008, it’s not a matter of who the better candidate is, it’s a matter of which candidate presents themselves as the better candidate.

Some may find fault with this hypothesis right off the bat, offering George W as an example of a candidate who did not communicate well. He proves my point.
In this decade, communicating successfully is different than it was for Lincoln or Roosevelt. George W was effective at communicating himself as the everyman:
he connected with audiences he never met in person as one of them.

Ten Tips to watch in any debate, sound bite, or interview:

1. Who uses humor well

Humor is a ticking time bomb for any speaker. It is a special dilemma for a candidate. If the candidate uses no humor, he or she comes across as dour.
As when Hillary brought up SNL at the Cleveland debate. If they use humor inappropriately, they can look like the bully or just insensitive. Like when Barack said about Hillary, she was likable enough. On the other hand, the rewards of using humor well are just too tempting to pass up. As when Reagan said he wouldn’t use Mondale’s age against him.

2. Who presents self as most knowledgeable but not brainy

No one liked the smartest kid in the class: The kid who knew everything and reminded everyone. We want and need our President to be intelligent, the smartest kid in the class. We just don’t want him or her to act like it.

3. Who presents self as most likable

One of the reasons why Ronald Reagan was so popular is that voters thought they would like to have a beer with him. A likable guy to spend time with. Although the vast majority of voters would never meet him, they thought they would like him if they ever did. Why do we like some people? Why do we like some more than we like others? The likeability factor can be fickle, but it is tried and true, and it’s about perceived trust.

4. Who says more than the same repetitive mantras

5. Non verbal match the verbal, meaning their face and their words agree

During the last campaign, there was a joke that John Kerry’s words forgot to tell his face that they were funny. When the face does not match the words, the audience believes the face not the words. Look for the match between the two to find the believable candidate. Huckabee is good at this.

6. Who is comfortable using gestures

Al Gore’s own Secret Service detail named him Sawhorse due to his use of wooden gestures. Look for the candidate that is comfortable using gestures, the candidate who is comfortable in his or her own skin. Another way to look at it is to look for the candidate whose gestures are not getting in the way of their message. Bill Clinton was good at the fist-point. Everyone else who tries it-not so good.

7. Don’t have to be as young as JFK, but they can’t look dead

Due to high definition TV and plasma, we now see candidates closer than ever, closer than we want to see them. If Hollywood actors are concerned about these 21st century close-ups, imagine what they do to 60 year olds?

8. Candidates that actually say something

Voters want to hear substance.

9. Candidates who stay on message- if they spin, if they don’t answer the actual question that was asked and spin to another aspect or topic, they need to do so artfully or the audience won’t accept it. Look for candidates who actually answer questions asked.

10. Who can carry the weight

Both Democratic candidates have embraced the red phone theme in commercials. Although these are serious times, and the candidates are talking about serious topics, they need to be able to do so with a grace and ease. The presidency itself ages Presidents. We don’t want to see the burden too heavy even before they take office.

The General Election like a baseball season is long. While every win does not seem to count in 100 games, we never know which one will make the difference in the end of the season. So watch every debate, every soundbite, every interview. You never know which one will make the difference at the end of the season.

Spooky Snowdonia: Two Snowdonia Ghost Stories For Halloween

The mythology of Snowdonia stretches back many hundreds of years. The deeds of King Arthur and his knights, mythical beasts like giants and the Gwiber, warring dragons – all are common themes in Snowdonia’s mythology.

But spooky stories abound, too. Caernarfon residents describe visitations from Roman legionaries and ghostly nuns, Gwydir Castle boasts a number of resident ghosts – including the spectre of a long-dead dog – and shadowy figures in period costume have been reported at Conwy Castle.

The following are two of our favourite Snowdonia ghost stories.

The Landlord of Beddgelert

According to legend, in the late 18th century the villagers of Beddgelert, led by a David Pritchard, landlord of the Goat Inn, concocted the legend of Gelert, the faithful hound killed while protecting his master’s baby son.

Times were hard in those days, and the village, like many others, relied on passing trade to keep the local economy thriving. Having a local legend, the villagers thought, would bring more tourists and pilgrims to the area. And sure enough, Gelert’s grave drew in the tourists, and David Pritchard’s wealth increased as his inn prospered.

In 1821 David Pritchard died suddenly without leaving a will. Shortly after his funeral, ghostly footsteps started to be heard at night in the Goat Inn. Strange noises were regularly heard, including sounds of the fire being raked, and the rattling of fire irons – a habit of Pritchard’s – which terrified the guests.

After a while, people started reporting seeing David Pritchard wandering around the village. Others saw his ghost tapping at the stable door. And he was also seen near Gelert’s grave.

Everyone in the village was terrified, except Pritchard’s old friend, a farmer called Huw, who was eventually visited by Pritchard’s ghost. Huw asked Pritchard why he haunted the village instead of lying at peace. Pritchard’s ghost explained that he had unfinished business, and gave Huw a message for his widow. Pritchard’s widow accepted the message and followed her late husband’s instructions, lifting the hearthstone in the bar room most affected by the fire raking noises. There she found a pouch containing a hundred gold guineas, Pritchard’s legacy to his wife and children.

Its unfinished business now dealt with, David Pritchard’s ghost was never seen again.

The Tragedy at Plas Mawr

One of Snowdonia’s most beautiful – and famous – buildings is Plas Mawr in Conwy, which was built by Robert Wynne towards the end of the 16th century.

Robert Wynne was expected home after months away at war, and his return was eagerly anticipated by his pregnant wife and three year old son. On the day that Wynne was due to return home, his wife and child kept lookout at the top of the watchtower.

After hours of waiting and still no sign of Wynne, his wife decided it was too late to keep the child up, and started to take him down the steps of the watchtower back to the warmth of the house. But she slipped and fell, with her son, down to the bottom of the stairs, and both were badly injured.

Mrs Wynne and the child were taken to the Lantern Room and the local doctor was summoned. Soon afterwards, there was a knock at the door; but in place of the usual doctor was a young stranger. He introduced himself as Doctor Dick and explained that the family doctor was with another patient, and that he had been sent in the doctor’s place.

When Doctor Dick examined the patients, he told the servants that he was not sufficiently skilled to treat them, and so the servants sent another messenger to fetch the family doctor. In the meantime, the servants refused to let Doctor Dick go, and locked him in the Lantern Room.

After many hours of waiting, there was a knock at the door. Standing there was Robert Wynne, home from the wars. The servants told him what had happened and he burst into the Lantern Room to be met by his wife, son and premature baby, all lying dead on the floor.

Enraged, Wynne looked for Doctor Dick, but the young stranger had completely disappeared. Wynne locked himself in the Lantern Room and refused to come out until he had found the doctor.

The next morning, the servants let themselves into the room and found Wynne dead; in his grief he’d stabbed himself in the throat with his dagger.

Doctor Dick was never seen or heard of again. Legend says that he had tried to escape by climbing up the chimney, and that his bones, blackened with soot, are still hidden somewhere in the house.

And Robert Wynne’s ghost, still looking to avenge the untimely deaths of his young family, is said to still haunt the Lantern Room to this day.

Five Ways to Improve Your Golf Game

Golf is a sport that can never be mastered. You can never win at golf, you can only do better than you have in the past, or score lower than an opponent. Most often, however, this is of little concern; most golfers play because they love the sport. Still, golfers the world over seek to constantly improve their game. To play better, to beat a friendly rival, or simply to have more fun. There are scores of different golf improvement strategies out there, but several stand out as things you can do to improve your game. Here are the top five things you can do to play better golf.

Number 1: Take a lesson. Don’t let anyone tell you that you have to take lessons all summer, or even a series of ten lessons. Although it is fine if you can do those things, you don’t need to – especially if you are a summer time, weekend player. A single lesson will go a long way in helping you improve your game. Tell the pro ahead of time what you want to work on and get the most out of your hour. To make the most of your lesson, get back to basics. Focus on the fundamentals. So many golfers – especially 15+ handicappers, have trouble improving because they have fundamental problems. Have the pro look at your grip, your address and your basic spine/body angle both at address and during your swing. Nine times out of ten, slight adjustments in your grip, address, or spine angle can have a huge impact on your ability to strike the ball well.

Number 2: Get clubs that properly fit you. If you went to the large, chain sporting goods store and bought a set of clubs that were on sale, or if you went online and picked up a set of great clubs, you may be playing with the completely wrong set. It doesn’t matter that all the reviews said that they’re great for your ability level. The clubs need to match you in a much more intimate way. Your clubs should match your swing speed, level of upright, grip size, height and ability. A good swing analyst will examine all of these things, and more, all in an effort to match you specifically to the clubs that you will allow you to hit the ball well.

Number 3: Get Flexible. This is particularly important for golfers who are a little older. If your back and shoulders are tied up in knots, regardless of the reason, you will not play as well. The reason is simple: bio mechanics play the key roll in setting the physics of ball flight into motion. Flexibility will improve swing speed, improve club arc, and even allow you to shape your shots with greater accuracy. The same is true for lower body flexibility. Simple stretching exercises can be employed, or you can try something more exotic like a Thai Yoga Massage to help you along the way.

Number 4: Stop listening to your buddies. This should not even need to be said, but a 20 handicapper has no business telling you how to hit a high fade with a fairway iron to avoid the tree that’s 200 yards out between you and the green on a long par 5. The same goes for sand shots, and of course on the tee box. The exception might be on the green. If someone has an opinion about a read, you can listen, just weight how much you listen in accordance with the ability of the player. If someone has just made 30 putts and you’re at the turn, don’t listen.

Number 5: Get a distance finder. Club selection is one aspect of golf that can be the difference between shooting 100 or shooting an 88. Club selection is all about knowing how far you are from the target and also about the terrain that you are playing on. Moreover, if you have made any other game improving adjustments, a distance finder can help in some unlikely ways: If you have a new set of clubs – properly fitted, of course – you may be hitting your clubs at different distances than with your old set. You’ll find two types of distance finders: GPS units like the Bushnell Yardage Pro and laser range finders like the Bushnell Pinseeker. Both are excellent choices. The GPS systems have more features, like the ability to download course data to the units, or linking to systems like iGolf. The laser range finders are more straight forward, providing accurate distance to the pin.

These five steps will help you play better golf. You don’t even have to do all of them. Just make a plan to do one of them, wait for the results and then pursue another. In a very short time, you can really improve your golf game.
