Fixing Wii Error Code 51330

While the Nintendo Wii’s are incredible entertainment consoles, they come with errors- like the common Wii Error Code 51330. This is a connection error that can pop up when you are trying to connect your Wii and your wireless router. Sometimes your Wii can connect itself incorrectly on the initial set up, so youre goal is to double check manually it has your personal connection information stored correctly.

Turn on your Wii, go to your Wii menu and select the round lower left Wii button. Next, select your Wii settings, move to the second screen in order to select the Internet option, then connection one and select for an access point. The New Sony Ericsson Xperia Play-The Playstation Comes To Android

The launch of the handset gaming fans have been waiting for is finally here. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is the phone that merges all the power and functionality you expect from a modern smartphone with the gaming prowess of the Sony Playstation brand, and thus has been one of the most hyped and eagerly awaited release of he past few years.

Upon looking at the phone, perhaps the most pleasing aspect is that even without the superb games facilities, this is undoubtedly a real cracker of a smartphone, packed full of the very latest technology with some very modern styling thrown into the equation as well. Any good smartphone need to be as adept at accessing the internet as it is at taking calls, and the Xperia Play does not disappoint in this instance. A great array of web connectivity options make this handset a joy to surf the web with whether you are on the move or at home. The in built browser offers full HTML support as well as incorporating Flash facilities, thus to avoid any iPhone esque problems with viewing certain material. Thanks to the 3G connectivity, whilst you are on the move you can achieve greet speed, and this is improved on when you are in range of a WiFi network thanks to the phones Wireless LAN capabilities, with all three speeds accommodated by the phone. Talking of connectivity a little closer to home, the Xperia Play can connect wirelessly to products thanks to bluetooth, or using cable to a PC via the micro USB port or even to an HD compatible television thanks to a mini HDMI socket.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is a superb portable gaming machine. Where as on traditional consoles you would purchase a game on a disc or cartridge, on this phone any games you need are downloaded online, and a shortcut to that game placed on your homescreen, rather similar to an icon appearing on a desktop for a downloaded program. When it comes to playing your material, the phones large 4 inch screen is a great size, any smaller may have impaired the experience, whilst larger may have detracted from the compactness of the chassis. Holding the phone horizontally and sliding the screen upwards reveals the control panel, which feels natural to use, especially for anybody used to a Playstation 2 or 3 controller. Graphics are displayed superbly thanks to an extremely high resolution of 480 x 854 and the capacitive touch display also features a proximity sensor and essential accelerometer chip.

Sony Ericsson have released pretty much the perfect handset with the Xperia Play, a device with widespread appeal, great specification and eye catching design. It is now available on UK networks including Vodafone.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play and the Nokia X2 Black Chrome are available now.

Black as the Night

We’re continuing this week with our regular editorial concerning the qualities of specific colour tones within the garden, how best to take advantage of them through your planting choices, and how properly to plant and then maintain the cultivars you select. This week’s colour is the elusive ‘black’, as whilst many appear black, most such flowers are really a deep shade of red or purple.

While this hue’s obvious connotations can be funereal and dark, it is important to remember that black is also symbolic of sophistication – it remains, for example, one of the most commonly employed tones in fashion and design, and not without good reason.  As the formation of black derives from the compilation of every other colour, its absoluteness is a definite symbol of substance and thus it serves perfectly as a filler for spaces of the garden that may seem bland or empty. This substance also lends a connection to the idea of security and stability as the colour itself cannot be compromised. However, it is important not overcrowd the garden with this colour as it can lend the space a fairly oppressive or morbid feel. Mix it with brighter tones for dramatic effect in the garden.

Floral and Hardy’s Favourite Five Black Beauties:

Aquilegia ‘William Guinness’

Informally known as Granny’s bonnet due to its frilly flowers, this herbaceous perennial has an upright habit and will produce pretty foliage and striking black and white flowers in spring – hence the variety’s name! When grown in groups, these blooms will provide a beautiful and dramatic contrast in your borders and fortunately Aquilegia is fairly easy to please as it will not suffer, regardless of the acidity or consistency of your soil and they are ideal for integration with other species as they will perform equally well in partial shade or full sunlight – just ensure the soil is moist. A word of warning though – they can be slightly toxic if eaten, so just make sure they are kept out of the way of inquisitive children.

Iris chrysographes ‘Black Knight’

This elegant Iris has strap-like, grey-green foliage and deep indigo, almost black flowers with gold-flecked, pendant fall petals, showing from May to June on an erect stem about 50cms tall. It can survive in almost any type of soil falling under sun or partial shade, and can survive either a sheltered or exposed position. However, again, this plant can be toxic, causing irritation if any part is ingested and whose sap may cause irritation following contact with the skin.

Scabiosa atropurpureum ‘Chile Black’

Also referred to as the ‘Pincushion Flower’, the ‘Egyptian Rose’ and the ‘Mournful Widow’, the Chile Black is an erect, branching and short lived perennial whose pincushion handle derives from the appearance of its blooms which will show black/deep red throughout the summer with spatters of lavender in the latter months of the season.

The widow is comfortable in either chalk, loam or sand based soils and as such is not fussy about the ph levels it is subjected to, though non-acidic is preferable in an exposed spot where full sunlight is guaranteed.

Tulipa ‘Queen of the Night’

Tulip Queen of the Night has large, very dark maroon to almost black blooms which will appear in late spring. Due to its upright nature and heavy heads, it will be necessary to shelter the stems from excessive wind and wet to prevent its foundation being undermined. You can further aid its establishment by providing it with a fertile, alkaline soil and plenty of sunlight and by making sure the bulbs are planted at least 15cm deep to ensure a solid root structure.

Viola ‘Black Beauty’

This variety of pansy is grown for its translucent black flowers and the wide spread they provide upon reaching maturity. This perennial cultivar prefers well drained soil, however, with a hardiness factor of four, it is very agreeable species in relation to ph level, sunlight requirements and its resistance to the elements. With its needs catered for you can expect it eventually to reach dimensions of 2.5 by 2.5m.

What Goes on During a Ghost Hunt?

Have you ever wondered what exactly goes on during an intense ghost hunt? Do you think that you would be scared of the unknown if you were going to join in on the fun of hunting for the paranormal?

There are many ghost hunting teams that are happy to take you along with them if you ask. Many will go way out of their way to show and teach you what they know about the paranormal. And who knows, you may just see a ghost or two during your hunt.

The first thing that happens when you start a journey in hunting for ghosts is that you will get your gear ready to go. You’ll get together your emf equipment, recorders, video cameras and all the other technical and non technical equipment and pack it up to go to the location. You will find that there are a lot things that you will need to bring along.

When you arrive on the site, the ghost hunting team will interview the owners of the place if there are owners (sometimes places are abandoned). Getting information on the area will help a lot in the hunt that is to get underway.

The team will then usually get their equipment set up and get ready for a long and interesting night of searching out the paranormal. Usually, if there is a house involved, this means that people will hang out in each of the rooms possibly speaking out to potential paranormal beings in the hopes for some kind of answer. Sometimes, pictures will also be taken of the area to see if anything comes from the developed picture that the eye did not see.

If you are interested in ghost hunting and maybe joining a team some night, check out your area to see if there are teams close to you. They can be just a short call away to get a hold of and you will find that a lot of them will be very happy to let you tag along.

Look at getting into the paranormal and learn how to hunt ghosts.

Red and Black

This painting is a study of a particular shape that delves into the depths of the possibilities of art that focuses on a single subject and dares to be so single minded in it’s presentation and focus. In this original canvas artwork we are presented with repeated, circular shapes and a very limited color scheme that focuses on blue and red. This painting’s subtle delineation of shapes and slow fade into darker tones at it’s edges make it very interesting to study for prolonged periods of time. The shapes that are the unique focus of this piece both move into the background as well as confront the viewer head on, up close in the foreground of the painting. All the details that are added to the repetitive shapes make this piece a lot more complex than it might seem at first glimpse, that is what makes it a great conversation piece for a home or office. The very dramatic focus on the color red in this painting also adds a great deal of drama to the abstract subject of the piece and lends it a lot of flair, making it very eye catching. No one can pass by this piece without stopping to examine it more closely!
Red and Black is painted onto a tall, rectangular canvas that makes it’s presence in a room very powerful. The repeated, circular shapes in this painting make it perfect for display on a single canvas, so that the repetition is not lost or dimmed by being spread out among multiple canvases. In addition, the single canvas shape does not break up the endless, never-ending rounded lines that are the theme, so a single canvas feels intuitively right for this remarkable modern painting. If you find yourself wanting to find more paintings like this one, a good place to begin your search would be in our Modern Canvas section, where interesting shapes and dramatic colors abound! Abstract Loops in particular will be worth taking a look at if you are hoping to find more original paintings that recreate the drama and intensity of Red and Black.

My PS3 Is Overheating!

It doesn’t matter how good something is something can always go wrong. The PS3 for example great bit of kit, excellent games, amazing graphics and Blu-ray capabilities, but it can still break down. The PS3’s particular problem is something called the yellow light of death and is caused by a few different things, however the main cause for it is overheating. Overheating can lead to more permanent damage being caused so it is something you should avoid at all costs. This can be fixed or prevented by following the precautions described below.

1. The very first thing you should do if your console is overheating is to turn it off immediately to reduce the risk of further damage. You would want to leave the console off for at least one hour before turning on again. Doing this will allow the console to cool down to a comfortable operating temperature again. Also doing this will reset the system if there is another issue other than overheating.

2. If your console is still overheating and you need to cool it down fast then try placing a fan near to the console’s vents and blow cool air into the PS3. This should help reduce the temperature sufficiently to begin playing again. If this solves the issue then it may be worth buying an external PS3 fan. They can be obtained from most gaming stores and fit snugly on the console, as they are designed specifically for this job they do not look at all obtrusive and fit in with the console’s style. They will keep the console properly cooled down even through the most intense gaming session.

3. Take a moment to look at where you actually store your PS3 as this can cause the console to overheat. Is there sufficient ventilation so your console can get the cool air it needs to continue working properly. If you keep your PS3 on a book case standing up is there enough room at the top for the vents to do their job? A lot of people store their console in a glass fronted cabinet which will just trap the heat and cause the console to malfunction, if you are one of these people try playing with the doors open. While you are checking this out take a look at the vents to see if they are clogged up. Dust can build up on the vents to a level where it will cause the yellow light of death. If there is make sure you use a dry clean cloth to wipe it away.

4. Adjusting the high definition setting on the console is another way to stop the PS3 from overheating. This setting can cause the PS3 to get to hot simply because the amount of work the processors have to do, so reducing the setting to a lower definition will certainly help. You will find this setting on the control panel and you just have to reduce the resolution. I know this is not ideal as you bought the console because of the graphics, but if you need your PS3 working again quickly then this has to be tried.

Just a little bit of thought and care when using your PS3 can prevent overheating on your console. Taking on board the points raised could be enough to save you the $ 150 dollars Sony would charge for the repair. Happy gaming.

Not Just Another TV Show About Ghosts

Sure, everybody watched a TV show about ghosts every now and then. In fact, it seems obligatory for every TV network to come up with its own supernatural themed programs. And many of them have turned out quite alike that you can’t tell them apart aside from their titles.

So what does Ghost Whisperer offer that has not yet been done on other TV shows? Luckily, there is still many. And the best thing about the show is, rather than doing the usual scare tactics that many shows of this type usually employ. This makes the show more interesting and engaging.

Ghost Whisperer centers around the life of Melinda Gordon, played by the stunning Jennifer Love Hewitt, who has the ability to see spirits. She works as a paranormal investigator to help the ghosts that contact her complete their unfulfilled missions. Each episode has Melinda solve the mystery surrounding a ghost’s present and help her cross to the afterlife. Each season also features an overarching story about how Melinda deals with her powers while trying to live a normal life. She also meets other people who show differing views about her abilities, some supporting her, while others shun her.

What makes the series great is that, as said above, instead of focusing on the scary aspects of the genre, it goes for the mystery surrounding the characters. Thus, instead of holding your pillow for cover, you would actually be glued to your screen, trying to figure out the nature of the spirits. You will also definitely tune in as the series progresses and more of Melinda’s background is revealed.

Another interesting aspect of the show is its philosophical view. Instead of simply portraying ghosts as malevolent and evil beings, the show present the topic in an entirely different manner, that of lost souls in need of help. This deviates from the more stereotypical ones seen in most TV series. This also adds more depth to the show as it allows more character build up than what is usually seen. Also, instead of being to preachy about heaven and everything, the series’ view on the topic of heaven is more realistic and enlightening to viewers, which add to the show’s over-all message.

Hewitt also gives a top notch performance in her portrayal of the character of Melinda. She convincingly presents Melinda’s troubles and views about her abilities. She also definitely deserves a thumbs up in her good acting, which adds more to the appeal of the character.

And since this is a series about ghosts, there should be some. The series’ visual; and special effects are truly awesome, such that the scenes will definitely give you the scare of your life. This aspect definitely completes the series and make it more than worthwhile as a good evening watch.

Ghost Haunting Breaks in York, England

York is an absolute treasure trove for anyone interested in all things spectral. York was named the most haunted city in Europe by the Ghost Research Foundation International (GRFI) and it seems that every room, building or street seems to be haunted in this beautiful city. York is haunted by no less than 140 different ghosts haunting York, with an amazing 500+ recorded hauntings (this figure is still growing you ghost lovers will be pleased to know). Taking advantage of York’s large number of spooks, there is a significant ghost walk/haunt industry here. If you are looking for accommodation in York and intend to take on one of the ghost hunts then try the York Pavilion hotel. They have scheduled events that include 3 course dinner followed by a ghost hunt. Expert guides, psychics, and ghost hunting equipment provide an authentic setting for a spooky touch to your visit.

At the start of any ghost seeking visit you may want to visit the York Dungeon to get you in the mood, where live actors reenact scenes of torture, plague and execution in the most grisly detail – it may be best to do this after lunch, but maybe not straight after! Follow on with a visit to the Micklegate Bar Museum, which stands at the main gateway of the city, and is where the heads of executed traitors were once displayed.

There is an abundance of ghost walks to choose from, some being serious and historically informative, and some being down right silly but lots of fun with actors in grisly costume ambushing the group at particular points on the tour.

The Original Ghost Walk of York started in 1973 and takes place very night at 8pm starting at The Kings Arms, by Ouse Bridge. This is good ghost story telling at its best, and their guides are BTA Blue Badge or Equity award holders.

The Ghost Hunt of York – every night at 7.30pm from the Shambles.  This is one of the theatrical walks, and is great for children as the guides are dressed up in period costume.  This one is popular so expect large groups.

The Ghost Detective – every night from July to Halloween at 7.30pm from the Jorvik Viking Centre, Coppergate.  Another good tour if you have kids with you but best to warn the kids that the guide may involve them  when he’s telling some of their stories. The guide is an Equity member with an award for stand-up comedy.

The Ghost Trail of York – begins every night at 7.30pm from the West Doors of York Minster, is led by Equity Qualified guides and is great for families. Expect large groups on this tour as it seems very popular.

One of the more famous ghosts to haunt York is the ‘lost’ Roman Legion that is said to haunt the old Treasurer’s House. The first sighting was made in 1953 by an apprentice plumber name Harry Martindale. He was installing a heating system in the cellars of the old Treasurer’s House and reported seeing the 2000-year old ghosts all carrying swords and spears walking through a corridor seemingly on the knees. This is interesting since the old Roman road is located roughly fifteen inches below the cellar and it is believed that Martindale wasn’t aware of this fact when questioned. So the ghosts would have been walking on their own familiar road, on their way to the Minster. There have been several other sightings since Martindales’ but sadly, the old cellars are now  closed to visitors.

You can read more ghostly tales and get news on York Ghost Walks at the York England Hotels Guide where Jonathan writes
